Nourrie Cuisine’s President, Elena Johnson, is a veteran of the food service industry. After years in corporate food service management, training, and sales, she moved to the nonprofit sector working as an event planner and project manager. She has been a guest speaker at national conferences, designed and hosted online training programs, and organized fundraisers and events including the DC VegFest.
Throughout her career, Elena maintained her passion for culinary arts working part-time as a caterer, personal chef, and restaurant consultant before finally launching Nourrie Cuisine. Focusing on natural, organic, and plant-based ingredients, Elena strives to create dishes that please every palate.
Elena’s sales experience and connections within the natural products industry position Nourrie Cuisine to exceed our clients’ expectations in field marketing and retail relationship management. Elena’s track record of polished, professional, and personal brand representation serves as the example for all of Nourrie Cuisine’s engagements.
Going hand-in-hand with her passion for food, Elena is also a Francophile. With a Bachelors Degree in French Language and Literature, Elena has visited and studied in France many times and has practiced French cooking techniques most of her life. In fact, Nourrie is derived from the French words meaning “to feed” and “nourished.” In 2013, Elena was honored to present two cooking demonstrations at Paris Vegan Day.
